Vanilla Bar & Café @ Boon Tat Street

It’s one of those rare times that he had lunch with me during a working day. I can’t think of any interesting eating place around my office than here. I hesitated as I heard mediocre review from another gal fren on the food. Thankfully the experience is not too bad for us. Probably also because I’m not expecting too much.

Mushroom Soup ($2.50) – Soup of the day. We topped up for this soup since it’s only $2.50. Can taste small chunks of mushroom. I like the bread. Not the soft type but taste good when dipped into the soup.

Parmesan Prawn Pasta ($12.90) – Saw this in their lunch special & it’s one of their recommended dish. The prawns are succulent & the parmesan cream creates a sourish taste that makes it appetizing.

Garlic Prawn Pasta ($12.90) – I’m no garlic fan so i shouldn’t comment much. Its prepared in aglio olio style. I tried a little & find it dry & tasteless.

Vanilla Dirt Cake ($8.50) – What made me come here despite hearing negative comments would be for this. Thou I’m not a vanilla lover, the interesting presentation of this dessert attracted me. The crushed oreo bits played soil & the 2 gummy played worms. All I can remember now is that the cake tasted like ice cream. Guess I enjoyed the experience of ‘digging’ this cake better.
